nightfall (unfinished. asaha/mjoll)

The two met at nightfall. It was the only time when they could be out in the open, for a few reasons.

Reason one: Mjoll had to wait for her friend and room mate, Aerin, to go to bed. The poor man was hopelessly in love with her, but she was not interested in the slightest. If only she had the heart to tell him.He followed her everywhere like a lost puppy. She was grateful to him for saving her, but she certainly wasn't in love with him as he was her, she had someone else.

The second reason they had to meet at night, was that Asaha was a vampire. She hadn't always been that way. She and Mjoll were already something of an item when it happened.

The two were approached by an orc who was recruiting for the Dawnguard. This excited Mjoll, she was always up for a fight. The leader of the Dawnguard then send them into a cave, in which they found a woman with eyes fire and the sharpest fangs Mjoll had ever seen. She was reluctant to help out the vampire woman, but Asaha managed to bring her around with one of her silly smiles that always helped her get her own way.

They took the woman to her home, a huge castle off the coast of Solitude. Mjoll wasn't allowed inside. She stood outside in the snow, the freezing coastal wind whipping her hair around her face, as she watched her lover go inside the castle full of vampires, deathhounds and the divines know what else. Asaha turned back as she approached the door to wave back at Mjoll. Then she went in and the giant door creaked shut.

It was a long time before Asaha emerged from the castle. Mjoll smiled, seeing her returning unharmed, but took a step back as Asaha reached her and smiled. She had fangs. And her eyes were a bright orange.

"Asaha..?What happened to you?" she gasped, looking her partner up and down as if she were a different  person.

"I was offered the change and I took it. It's not a problem, is it?" Asaha replied. Mjoll didn't know how to answer. Yes it was a problem. Mjoll would never be with a vampire. But Asaha wasn't just a vampire. She was still the same person, wasn't she?
